A Bedtime Story

WARNING:  This post may be very dull if you're not related.

All of a sudden Noah can read!  After finishing his school book he insisted that he read it again so I could record it to show Auntie Jay 'Just how good I am!' :

My little man is full of surprises lately.  A couple of weeks ago he was sad when he watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and the lead character was upset.  (See this post.)  A few days later he watched Return to Neverland and during a scene in which the little girl was crying Noah was furiously wiping away his own tears saying 'I'm trying not to cry but my eyes won't stop!'.  This week he was watching The Piglet Movie and when Piglet was sad and alone Noah was gently crying, feeling sad for poor Piglet!  I have never had any of my children feel such empathy for a fictional character before and it makes me teary myself every time Noah does it, he is just so sweet.  Weirdly he doesn't bat an eyelid or get emotional when he watches the rather-scary-for-children Dr Who shows!
