These last few days have brought mixed emotions ranging from frustration over our upturned house and the cost of replacing a boiler, to a little bit of excitement at the thought of new carpets. We have home and contents insurance so we knew that would cover the water damage to our home, but not the cause: our boiler. Thankfully James found a fault and managed to get the insurance company to foot the bill for a new one! We hope to have hot water and heating by the weekend. Next task: try to get it all done by Christmas! (I don't honestly hold out much hope for that one!)

Update From Ghetto House
